Can I continue to use dongles with LDK?

Yes, you can continue to use dongles with LDK, although doing so precludes taking advantage of a number of the benefits available from LDK. For this reason Global Graphics recommends the use of soft locks and/or VM locks wherever appropriate.

When using a dongle with LDK, the license is secured against the hardware of the dongle itself rather than the computer hardware on which the RIP is running. In addition, the activated license is stored within the dongle itself, rather than being written as a V2C file to the computer disk.
