Do I need to do anything in my uninstaller to support LDK?
This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.
As well as uninstalling the RIP and your own components, your installer should provide the option to uninstall the LDK runtime:
Windows:
haspdinst.exe –remove
Linux:
rpm -e aksusbd
This decrements a reference count held by the Thales software and only actually uninstalls the LDK runtime if the Harlequin installation was the only user of that software on the computer.
The Global Graphics uninstaller also uses the -purge
option to haspdinst.exe, which forces removal of the runtime.
The LDK runtime may also be used by other software, including products from other vendors. You should not force uninstallation of the runtime unless you are sure that no other software installed on that computer uses it.
