Error code descriptions

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; and to Harlequin MultiRIP but not Harlequin Core

The error codes available are given in sub-sections of this page.

Note: Though it is safe to extend the range of error codes, it can be dangerous to change the usage of the predefined codes. In some cases, the RIP expects certain codes to mean certain things.

DERR_NONE

Error code

No error.

DERR_BUSY

Error code

Output unit is busy.

DERR_OFF_LINE

Error code

Output unit is off‐line.

DERR_BUSY_OR_OFF_LINE

Error code

Output unit is either busy or offline.

DERR_WARMING_UP

Error code

Output unit is warming up.

DERR_COVER_OPEN

Error code

Output unit's cover is open.

DERR_NOT_READY

Error code

Output unit is not ready, but the reason for this is not given or known.

DERR_BUFFER_LOW

Error code

Buffer for storing pages in is nearly full.

DERR_PAPER_LOW

Error code

Paper or film supply is running low.

DERR_TONER_LOW

Error code

Toner supply is running low.

DERR_INK_LOW

Error code

Ink supply is running low.

DERR_TAKEUP_LOW

Error code

Take‐up cassette is nearly full.

DERR_BUFFER_FULL

Error code

Buffer space for storing pages in is full.

DERR_PAPER_OUT

Error code

Paper or film has run out.

DERR_TONER_OUT

Error code

Toner has run out.

DERR_INK_OUT

Error code

Ink has run out.

DERR_TAKEUP_FULL

Error code

Take‐up cassette is full.

DERR_NO_CASSETTE

Error code

Paper or film cassette requested is not available.

DERR_NO_TAKEUP

Error code

No take‐up cassette present.

DERR_PAPER_JAM

Error code

There is a paper or film jam.

DERR_DATA_FAILED

Error code

Data transfer failed.

DERR_COMMS_FAILED

Error code

Communications with the output unit have failed.

DERR_IFACE_FAIL

Error code

The interface card has failed.

DERR_DATA_UNDERRUN

Error code

Data not supplied quickly enough.

DERR_STOPPED

Error code

Data supply slow enough to cause a stop/start.

DERR_LOW_POWER

Error code

Output unit is running on low power.

DERR_NO_POWER

Error code

Output unit has no power.

DERR_LASER_DIODE_FAIL

Error code

Laser diode has failed.

DERR_INVAL_RES

Error code

Invalid resolution requested.

DERR_INVAL_CLIP

Error code

Invalid clipping requested.

DERR_WRONG_CASS

Error code

Wrong cassette is in the device.

DERR_MISPLACED_CASS

Error code

The required cassette is in another device.

DERR_DELETED_CASS

Error code

The required cassette has been deleted (from the cassette manager).

DERR_MISSING_CASS

Error code

No cassette in the device.

DERR_INVALID_DATA

Error code

Output data in an invalid raster format for this device.

DERR_UNKNOWN

Error code

An unknown error has occurred.
