Filter plugins

Filters are algorithms that transform a stream of data in some way. A filter is expressed in the PostScript language using the Level 2 operator filter , which collects together the name of the algorithm, a set of algorithm parameters and an underlying file from which to read raw data, or to which to write modified data.

There are a number of filters built‐in to the RIP. Additional filters can be added as plugins. Built‐in filters can also be overridden.
