Harlequin VariData external mode and plugins
This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; and to Harlequin MultiRIP but not Harlequin Core
If a significant proportion of jobs processed by the RIP are PDF files with pages that share an invariant background and have text which changes from page to page, consider enabling the Harlequin VariData (HVD) optimization in the RIP to accelerate these jobs. See Harlequin VariData.
An interface is provided to export rasters of reusable parts of a page, where the raster has been retained after scanning by the Harlequin VariData feature. This feature is provided for those customers who have their own method of stitching together the resulting rasters, for example, using hardware acceleration. GGSL do not provide any support for these external raster stitching features. If you do not have your own raster‐stitching technology, you should use Harlequin VariData internal mode instead.
