How do I add an option to a license with multiple activations?

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.

The Harlequin LDK Online Ordering System does not support enhancement of licenses with multiple activations. Please contact Sales-admin if you need to enhance such a license.

If you order an additional option for an activated license (identified by its Protection Key ID), Global Graphics provides you with Protection Key Updates (PKUs) for all of the activations of its parent Product Key. You are expected to apply these to all LDK Server instances, and therefore to all RIPs licensed from that original Production Key. This is intended to ensure that all RIPs from a single license are kept in sync, with the same set of layered options.

If appropriate in relation to your contract, the pricing for layered options reflects this situation. As an example, if you have a license with three activations and a concurrency of four, it allows you to run 12 (3x4) RIPs. If you then purchase HDS to add to that license, it may cost 12 times as much as the standard license for a single copy of HDS.

LDK part definitions include a “Fixed” price component and a “Per Instance” component. The total price for that option is for fixed component plus the number of RIPs times the per-instance component.
