When the RIP is imposing pages with the /Imposition
page device key, there is no erasepage
between ‘logical’ pages on the same physical page. If this parameter is true
, it forces the RIP to erase the clip path for each logical page before painting that page.
The default is false
(there is a time cost incurred by the extra erasures). It might need to be set to true
if, for example, negative and positive pages were being imposed on the same physical page.
