Other DCS configuration items

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.

These configuration items define what the procset should do in cases where data is missing or not an exact match.

DCSdoValidate

This defines what should be done if a separation is included in the DCS file but is not produced on output. The possible values are:

/LowRes

If any of the separations present in the DCS file is not produced, use the low-resolution composite in the main file instead of the high resolution.

/SkipSeparation

If any separation is present in the DCS data, but is not produced by the RIP, skip that separation but use all the other high-resolution separations.

DCSsingleFileMismatch

This defines what should be done when the high-resolution data is in an external single-file DCS2 file, and the %%PlateFile comments do not match those in the embedded header in the job itself. The possible values are:

/Ignore

Carry on regardless, using the values from the external file

/Warn

Report the issue and continue.

/Abort

Abort the job.

/DCSMissing

This defines what action to take if the high-resolution data is missing. The possible values are:

/LowRes

Image the low-resolution data

/Blank

Leave blank

/Abort

Abort the job.
