ScreenLevels (system param)

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP

Sets the number of distinct gray levels to which a screen will be limited even if its specification would naturally produce more, and to which HPS will increase it when the ScreenExtraGrays system parameter (q.v.) is true . If a single number is given, the value is used for both purposes; if an array of two numbers is given, the first sets the number of distinct gray levels, and the second is the number to which it will be increased when ScreenExtraGrays is true .

Default: [1024, 1024] in command-line versions, [256, 65536] in GUI versions.
