The default value (false
) means that it is possible to use fileposition
and setfileposition
on the
stdin
file object. A value of true
will cause those operations to trigger an ioerror
.
The parameter is provided to allow compatibility with Adobe RIPs whilst providing the flexibility to avoid these restrictions if required.
