(v13) Aspect for HqnImpose2

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.

Aspect is used when determining how many pages may be placed on the flat and in what positions. It is used by most of the supplied objectives; for exceptions please see the detailed notes below on each objective. Aspect may take one of five PostScript-language keys for its value:

/Original

The orientation of the pages should not be altered from that originally requested in the PostScript-language job.

/Rotated

The pages should be rotated by 90 degrees from the angle originally requested. See also RotatedAngle below.

/Portrait

Pages should have their narrow dimension in the fast scan direction.

/Landscape

Pages should have their wide dimension in the fast scan direction.

/BestFit

The exact meaning of this key varies from objective to objective, but it is usually to ensure that the maximum number of pages be included in the imposition flat or that the minimum material is used.

By default pages that are rotated to fit are turned anti-clockwise by 90 degrees. Change this by defining RotatedAngle to -90 . Do not set RotatedAngle to any value other than +/-90 .

/ExtraFlip

This option takes a Boolean value. If true , pages are rotated by an extra 180 degrees.
