(v13) Color models
This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP
These are the five color models which are determined by the color space that are used to paint an object:
CMYK
Includes /DeviceCMYK, /ICCBased with a CMYK device space.
RGB
Includes /DeviceRGB, /ICCBased with an RGB device space, /CalRGB.
Gray
Includes /DeviceGray, /ICCBased with a Gray device space, /CalGray.
NamedColor
Includes /Separation, /DeviceN, /ICCBased with an NCLR device space.
Note: Some Separation and /DeviceN spaces use subsets of CMYK, the RIP treats these as having the NamedColor color model.
CIE
Any color space that is not one of the above. These will necessarily be device independent spaces, for example; an /ICCBased color space profile with an XYZ or Lab device space, or any /CIEBased space.
A Default color model may be used to assign the color models not otherwise specified.
