(v13) Integrating the Scalable RIP

Global Graphics recommends that you use the HHR Scalable RIP Integration Library (libripfarm) to integrate the Scalable RIP into your executable (available from

HHR v12.1r0). This library has interfaces to start and communicate with the Scalable RIP processes.

Integrating the HHR Scalable RIP into a customer solution imposes some constraints on the integration. The most important consideration is that when in Scalable RIP mode, the initial HHR process (the controlling RIP) spawns a number of clones of itself that act as farm RIPs. The Scalable RIP controlling process and clones have certain limitations and requirements:
