(v13) Output plugins

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; and to Harlequin MultiRIP but not Harlequin Core

This chapter provides an overview of the output plugin mechanism. It explains how the RIP communicates with an output plugin, from startup to shutdown.

The SDK includes several examples of output plugins, including a null device, a bitmap‐to‐PostScript converter, and a raster file data generator.
