(v13) PostScript language file name operations

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; and to Harlequin MultiRIP but not Harlequin Core

The PlgFwFile... operations provide a platform‐independent way of managing platform‐dependent file names, but do not include any concept of how the PostScript language manages files, or of Post‐ Script language‐style file naming. For a plugin developer, these are crucially necessary. Not only that, but, for a plugin developer working closely with the RIP and using PostScript language methods, being able to manipulate PostScript filenames in the same way as the RIP is essential, particularly for input plugins. The following functions allow plugin developers to access the same routines the RIP uses to manipulate files in the PostScript language domain. The prefix PlgPf denotes a PostScript file name operation provided through the PFI, but not derived from FrameWork functionality.
