(v13) Supported file types

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; and to Harlequin Core but not Harlequin MultiRIP.

The following high-resolution file types are currently supported by the Harlequin in-RIP OPI:

• EPS including PC format EPS files as described in the PostScript Language Reference Manual (Red Book); and duotone, monotone, tritone, and quadtone EPS files. It also includes Desktop Color Separation (DCS) version 1 and version 2 main preview files, which, in turn, brings in the DCS separation file if the DCS handling procset is loaded.
• TIFF 6.0 (CMYK, RGB, Grayscale, and Bitmap). Grayscale and Bitmap TIFFs may have a process or spot color assigned to them from within the desktop application. The Harlequin RIP holds these color assignments as OPI takes place.
• JPEG (including JFIF and JPEG from Adobe PhotoShop®)
• GIF
• BMP
• PNG
