(v13) The pdfopen operator

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; and to Harlequin Core but not Harlequin MultiRIP.

file dict pdfopen int -

The parameters are the same as for pdfexec, a file and a dictionary. pdfopen sets up the execution context but processes no pages and returns an integer which is the unique identifier (ID) of the execution context. pdfopen leaves the context open.

pdfopen has no side effects on the gstate or the pagedevice.
