(v13) Using OverprintPreview
This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.
The use of OverprintPreview (see (v13) Understanding OverprintPreview) modifies the color management of opaque jobs. If OverprintPreview
is set to CMYK Overprint or Transparency mode, the color management behavior in the rest of this section also applies. The important feature is that all objects in a page are first composited into a backdrop raster for the page using blend space color management.
This backdrop raster is then color managed to the output device as for opaque jobs.
Some transparency jobs do not contain a page group:
- Objects painted directly onto the page are composited into the virtual device and color managed according to the
OverprintPreview
setting. - Color management of the transforms into other transparency groups does not depend on
OverprintPreview.
