(v13) Varying the page feature for pagebuffer redirection

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; and to Harlequin MultiRIP but not Harlequin Core.

The redirection directory defined by /Prefix can be outside the SW folder. Some examples of the possible alternatives are:

%macdisk%redirect/subdir/

A subdirectory subdir in a directory called redirect in the root filing system on the disk volume macdisk on a Macintosh computer.

%/%unix_redirect/

A directory called unix_redirect in the root filing system under the UNIX operating system.

%C%windows_redirect/

A directory called windows_redirect in the top level of the C drive on a computer running Microsoft Windows.

Use the slash character to separate directory names, not the backslash or colon characters specific to Windows or Macintosh computers. Any characters after the last slash character are appended to the beginning of the pagebuffer filename.

To create more redirection destinations using page features, copy the page feature as just given to a new file with another meaningful name and then edit the copy to have a new device name and Prefix directory for the target device for example, %redirect3% and redir3/ and use the new device name redirect3 as /RedirectDevice.

It is then possible to send pagebuffers to any destination (for which you have created a page feature) by choosing the appropriate page feature.
