Integrated Mode

When Smart Job Cost Estimator is launched from Smart Print Controller, it is launched in Integrated Mode.

When you launch the application directly, it is launched in Standalone Mode.

The behavior of the application differs slightly between modes.

• The jobs that are imported upon start-up are those that were highlighted in the Waiting Queue of Smart Print Controller.

  • A new set of jobs can be imported by highlighting different jobs and clicking the Smart Job Cost Estimator button again.

• The list of media in the Cost report dialog will automatically select the job’s Target Media. This media will be greyed out.

  • Estimating the job will always at least be done with this media. The results for that estimation will be propagated back to the job in SPC, visible in the Job Details Dialog, as well as displayed in the normal fashion in the Cost report dialog.

Removing a job from the job queue will not delete the corresponding job in the SPC Waiting Queue.
