Device and file operators

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.

This section summarizes all the operators for files and devices, including those defined by Adobe but not given in [RB2] for various reasons. The operators to control devices and files are not all documented in one place elsewhere. [RB2] covers most of the file operators (except for RIP extensions described in this documentation), and some of the device operators. Additional device operators are listed in the Level 2 extension supplements (see [EXTN2014]) and in product-specific supplements to Adobe implementations—for example, [EMERALD]—and in practice, exist in all systems; some are not documented at all elsewhere; and several are RIP extensions.
