How can I test an LDK license before delivery to the customer?

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.

An LDK soft-lock or VM-lock is programmed to allow a set number of activations, normally one. If you “test” a Product Key by activating it before delivering it to your customer, you use up that activation, tying the license to the hardware on which you perform the test.

If you are not supplying the RIP pre-installed, you MUST NOT attempt to test the license before delivery.
