Installing the Harlequin Core SDK on macOS

Prerequisites

  • LDK users require an Internet connection.
  • You must be familiar with the macOS Terminal app.
  • The installation should be done from a user account with superuser or other system access privileges.

  • To install the Harlequin Core SDK with LDK security, you require a Product Key, which is a long string of letters and numbers (for example, aaaaaaaa-bbbb-cccc-dddd-eeeeeeeeeeee), which GGS supplies.

During installation, use the default options in all cases (unless a special installation is a known requirement).

  1. To install the Harlequin Core, double-click Install_xxxx_macosx.jar or extract from the zip and and run the installer.
  2. Complete the InstallAnyWhere dialog boxes:
    1. Read the license agreement, scroll to the bottom, and accept.
    2. Select the Harlequin Core and LDK together (default).
    3. Select the installation folder.
    4. Select where to create aliases.
    5. Review configuration settings and click Install.
  3. Before finishing, if using LDK, the Installer asks if you wish to activate the product now or later; select Activate Product Now. Paste your key into the Product Key field, and then press Next.
  4. On the Product activation succeeded window, click OK.
  5. Click Done.

Make a note of the installation location, as you need to navigate to this folder later to run the RIP.

If you are using LDK security with a license key:

  1. Before finishing, the Installer asks if you wish to activate the product now or later, select Activate Product Now. Paste your key into the Product Key field, and then press Next.
  2. On the Product activation succeeded window, click OK.
  3. Click Done.

If activation fails, please speak to your account manager or support.
