Moving on with RIP configuration (Linux, macOS, and Windows)

Unless specified otherwise, content on this page applies to Linux, macOS, and Windows platforms.

Once you’ve tested your installation by RIPping a job with one of the configurations supplied, you can select a suitable configuration or develop your own. Take a look at the files in SW/TestConfig folder; they're listed in Example configurations. The commands and options used by these files are detailed in the Harlequin Extensions Manual.

It is good practice to take a copy of a supplied configuration file and save it under a different name before starting to edit it.

From v13.1r0, configurations are also provided as JSON files that replicate the functionality of the standard ones (written in Postscript). These example JSON files can be found in the SW/TestConfig/JSON folder and are used in the same way as standard Postscript ones. For example: 

clrip  -c  JSON/CMYKComposite300dpi.json  MyTestFile1.pdf

Note the reference to the JSON/ folder.
