Programmatic control of separations

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.

Use of SeparationColorNames and SeparationOrder is the normal method for specifying separations. However, this only allows you to list a set of separations at the start. For more detailed control over individual separations, including positioning, reordering and replication, a set of operators are provided as an extension to the PostScript language. These can even add new separations during the interpretation of a page.
