Reference state

The purpose of the reference state stage is to record the corrected characterized state of the printer.

This state is intended to be the optimum state of the printer. It is used as a reference for the Smart Calibrator (SC) to bring a press in production back to this reference. This ensures that ICC profiles made in this reference state work with other printers calibrated back to the reference state.

Step 6a: Print Reference State Target

Choose PRINT TARGET to print the target previewed to the right using Smart Print Controller (SPC).

If you do not wish to print targets, choose Skip; you can opt to use measurements you have taken previously.

Step 6b: Read Reference State Target

Use IMPORT MEASUREMENTS to import the StatusT values from the data file that your measurement device produced.

To continue without measurement of a reference target, choose Skip.
