Can I activate a Linux license with a Windows computer?
This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.
“Activation on a machine without internet access” describes activating a license for a machine that does not have internet access using a second computer. If the RIP computer is a Linux machine, it is possible to use a Windows computer (such as your engineer’s laptop) to activate the license. There are two prerequisites:
- You must have the means to copy the C2V file from the Linux machine to the Windows laptop (and the V2C file in the opposite direction).
- You need the Windows executables for the LDK Tool (or LDK Utility), which are not included in the normal distribution of a Linux RIP. These are stand-alone binaries that can be supplied alongside the RIP distribution itself. Contact Global Graphics if you need this.
