How can an LDK license secured to a dongle be extended?

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.

To add layered options (such as plugins) or to add additional RIPs, you can amend the activated LDK license held in the dongle in exactly the same way as a soft lock or VM lock.

You must activate a Protection Key Update on a computer with Internet access, with the LDK runtime installed and with the dongle plugged into it to apply the new features; see How do I activate a hard lock against a dongle? The pre-existing Protection Key ID from the dongle is shown in the “Key ID” pop-up in exactly the same way as would be done for an update to a VM or soft lock.
