How do I add new options to an LDK license that has been issued?

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.

Provide either the Product Key or Protection Key ID from the original RIP license or the activation at the customer site with your order. 

Instructions for finding the Protection Key ID from the user’s computer are set out in How do I find out the user’s Protection Key ID?

In return Global Graphics provides a Product Key for a Protection Key Update. This should be passed through your channels to the end user. Activating the new option with the Protection Key Update is described in How do I extend my license or add extra or layered options?

Protection Key Updates cannot be issued before the license is activated. This means that if you have ordered a RIP license and you realize that you should have included another option with it, you have to wait until the license has been activated before creating a Protection key Update to add the new option.
