Screening operators and extensions

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.

Three standard operators set up halftone screens: setscreen, setcolorscreen and sethalftone; and three do corresponding queries: currentscreen, currentcolorscreen and currenthalftone. (The RIP also provides a further query operator, screenforall.)

As well as the system parameters described in the previous sections of this chapter which control the behavior of these operators, the RIP has some minor variations from the description in [RB3]. The following pages describe Harlequin's extensions to these operators, and the additional halftone types provided by the RIP.
