(v13) Defining an HqnLayout annotation to use the color bar

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; both Harlequin Core and Harlequin MultiRIP.

Once you define the color bar, you may create an annotation for simple imposition to make use of it.

A file should be created in SW/Usr/HqnLayout/Annots , containing the following:

TEXT
              <<
              /Name(PlateBar_40-80_1)
              /AnnotType/ControlBar
              /BarName /PlateControlBar_40-80_1
            >>

The value of the Name key should match the name of the file within the Annots directory, and is the name used in the simple imposition GUI, or through the PostScript API. The value of the BarName key should match the name of the ControlBar object to be drawn.

Color bars are loaded at RIP boot time. You must therefore restart he RIP to pick up new or changed files.
