(v13) Imposition and the Scalable RIP
This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; and to Harlequin Core but not Harlequin MultiRIP
In-RIP Imposition is partially supported by the HHR Scalable RIP. It supports some of the features available with the HqnImpose2 imposition. for information see the Harlequin Extensions manual , Imposition features .
- The OneUp, NxN, and PassThrough objectives are supported. These are the most useful for high-speed printing because they have a fixed number of pages per imposed flat.
- Only one imposition configuration may be used per job.
NOTE: Any other use of imposition will result in the job being directed to a single RIP, and won't benefit from splitting the job across multiple RIPs. When this happens, the following message will appear in the Scalable RIP monitor:
Scalable RIP with non-splittable imposition job using one RIP
In particular, it will happen for any other objective used with
HqnImpose2, and for any use of
HqnLayout
. For information see the Harlequin Extensions Manual,
Simple imposition
