(v13) Notes about this manual

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; and to Harlequin Core but not Harlequin MultiRIP.

For further information you should consult the following documents:

Release Notes

The Release Notes cover technical aspects of the RIP, including any late breaking technical news. As such, it should be considered the first point of reference with respect to any technical issues and also, to supersede any information supplied elsewhere in any other documentation. The information in the release notes is always the most up-to-date source.

Extensions Manual

Part of the Harlequin Core SDK and Harlequin Embedded RIP SDK.

This provides information about extensions that have been made to the scripting language used for configuration and command in the Harlequin RIP (based on the PostScript language).

This document covers extended configuration options and is very useful. Please consult this document before raising any questions with Global Graphics.

This document is optional and may not be supplied in all distributions. If it is not present in your distribution, please contact Customer Support.

doc/HqnRIP_SDK_InterfaceRef.chm

This fully searchable MSHTML help file contains the Harlequin Core SDK Skin Documentation and is available as part of the release. This documentation is API-level reference documentation for the skin and is generated directly from comments in the source code of the skin.

The majority of the documentation is about the “skinkit” and “skintest” code modules. In addition, the documentation contains interface descriptions generated from header files from the core RIP interfaces, and from security and memory management interfaces.

When selected on the Windows Start menu, the HqnRIP_SDK_InterfaceRef.chm document is called RIP Interface Reference.

When selected on your Linux home directory, the HqnRIP_SDK_InterfaceRef.chm document is called RIP Interface Reference.html.

On Linux a third-party application is required to view .chm files.
