(v13) Types of output plugin

This page applies to Harlequin v13.1r0 and later; and to Harlequin MultiRIP but not Harlequin Core

An output plugin can provide access to either:

• A single output device.
• One or more instances of one or more types of device.

The RIP distinguishes between multiple‐ and single‐device plugins by testing them for support of the selector D_FIND_DEVICE_TYPE . If a plugin supports this selector, the RIP assumes it is a multiple‐device plugin.
