Smart Device Configurator

Overview

Smart Device Configurator (SDC) is a part of the SmartDFE application suite.  

SDC is an OEM tool that allows the OEM to define the physical characteristics of the target device.

SDC allows the settings of all parameters needed to define a device (resolution, number of colors etc).
This full definition is stored in a .sdc file

It also supports the creation of a 'device template' that can be used as a starting point to create a definition for many similar devices.
Template files do not contain any Smart Media Definitions, so can not be used in SPC
Templates are stored in a .sdt file.
